Gephardt sponsors the "Save the Family Farm Act" (Sept)
The proposed "Save the Family Farm Act" [Harkin-Gephardt] bill is designed to protect prices and the income of family farmers, thereby slowing the loss of family farms in the U.S. The bill (HR5588) offers voluntary controls to help raise farm income and helps restructure farm debts.
